In 2006, the Friends of the Sheboygan Marsh spearheaded an effort to construct the tallest wooden observation tower in the State of Wisconsin.  In 2009, that vision became reality and the Sheboygan Marsh Tower was completed.

The Tower stands an impressive 80' tall with footings.  If your knees are too weak for those kinds of heights, you can still view the majestic Sheboygan Marsh scenery from a comfortable stool in the Sheboygan Marsh Lodge Restaurant by using the joystick and associated camera mounted at the top of the tower.

Fundraising for the Tower began with buckets for spare change at a local farmers market and grew into a full-fledged campaign with many donations secured from large foundations and corporate sponsors from throughout the Midwest.

Please contact the Friends for more information.  Donations are still being accepted though the final bill has been paid as of 2010.  You can purchase commemorative bricks as well as a few select steps on the Tower to help with the Friends' new fundraising effort, the multi-purpose educational building facility.   All donations are tax-deductible.
